Escape to a serene farm in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands
We host a number of self-catering accommodation options across three properties for guests to enjoy a quiet and peaceful getaway on a working farm. There is no Wi-Fi at any of our farm houses and cell phone signal is limited, which offers a perfect opportunity to switch off and disconnect. All of our accommodations are located within reach of various parts of the Midlands Meander, and guests are also welcome to enjoy a number of activities on the farms. There is plenty of space to go for a walk or a run. Guests are welcome to bring bicycles to go for a ride, or rods to cast a line in one of our beautiful dams.

Happy Valley
“A rustic farm homestead situated in a remote, private setting in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. This house offers self-catering accommodation for 9 people.”
Location: Dargle/Impendle area.
Price & payment: R1400 per night. 100% deposit required to secure booking 1 week in advance. Payment by EFT only.
Minimum stay: 2 nights.
Guest capacity: 9 people maximum.
Bedrooms: 1 w/double bed and en-suite; 2 w/double bed; 1 w/3 twin beds.
Bathrooms: 1 en-suite w/bath and toilet; 1 w/bath and shower; 1 w/toilet.
Water: Hot water available throughout the house. Safe to drink from the taps.
Communication: No Wi-Fi and limited phone signal.
Equipment available: Kitchen fully equipped with electric oven with gas hobs, a microwave, a toaster and a kettle. Linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own swimming towels. Toilet roll provided. Braai facilities available. Limited wood supplied. Bring your own charcoal and ice.
Local activities: Guests are welcome to go walking or running around the farm. They can also bring their bicycles to cycle around, or go fishing on one of our dams. We’re situated in the middle of the Midlands Meander, so there are plenty of activities to enjoy off the farm too!
Accessibility: No steps/stairs inside the house. Small step to get into the shower, and deep steps leading to the back garden/braai area (it is possible to walk around from the front of the house).
Road condition: It is advisable to bring a vehicle with high ground clearance.

Local activities: Guests can fish, bring their bicycles to cycle around and are free to walk or run around the farm. They are also encouraged to take a dip in the pool. We’re situated in the middle of the Midlands Meander, so there are plenty of activities to enjoy off the farm too!
Accessibility: Small step into house and small step into shower. No steps/stairs inside the house. Steps from the veranda down to the garden/pool area (it is possible to walk around from the front door).
Road condition: The condition of the district road varies. When it is good, any car can reach this accommodation. When it is not good, a vehicle with high ground clearance is required. Before booking, please contact Chanel to check the road condition (details provided below).

Equipment available: Kitchen fully equipped with both a gas and electric oven/stove, as well as a microwave, toaster and kettle. Linen and toilet roll provided. Towels not provided. Braai facilities available with firewood supplied. Bring your own charcoal and ice.
Local activities: Guests are welcome to go walking or running around the farm. They can also bring their bicycles to cycle around, or go fishing on one of our dams. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy off the farm in the local area, such as fly fishing, walks and hikes, photography, birding, mountain biking trails, quad-biking trails, a 9-hole golf course, horse riding, the Midlands Meander route, spas, restaurants, the Kamberg Rock Art Centre, Kamberg Nature Reserve, Highmoor Nature Reserve, and Giantʻs Castle Nature Reserve.
